Warm greetings to all of you!

I'm pleased to introduce myself to you. My name is Nona Mohammadi, I am a graduate of the class of 2019/2020 and have been a member of the Interim Board since last year.I am a Project Associate in the Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Labour Migration Unit of the International Organization for Migration in Berlin.

As for some of you, my time in Venice left a lasting impression on me, from the dedicated advocacy of human rights and a corresponding social values orientation to the Aqua Alta, and not to mention the juicy olives in our Aperol Spritz, which we consumed with some regularity.

After several stays in European cities, I can say that having the EMA family made me feel at home quickly no matter where I was. This particular experience is such a strong bonding element that no matter where you meet again, there is a close feeling of belonging that has allowed me to meet so many people for life that I definitely wouldn't want to miss.

This is exactly why I want to candidate for the EMAlumni Association Board, as I am a strong proponent of collective impact - only through a collaborative network of learning, alignment, and collective action to achieve grassroots and systems-level change can equity be achieved.

Indeed, the EMA community has unique potential even after graduation, especially through the EMAlumni Association, as there are many opportunities that allow our community to thrive and strengthen the connections between its members. A mentoring program, career guidance support, virtual forums, etc. can become more vibrant and stronger the more active we are as a community, and to which I would like to actively contribute as a board member.
